Started in 2014, Blaine Robert Design Sdn Bhd. began crafting interior design works mainly for high end residential projects. Through our dedication in delivering our best works we quickly gain trust from clients, developers and architects to venture in more commercial projects, hotel works, offices, show gallery and show units and even tendered projects.
Years of creating custom designed furniture for our ID clients, it is now our privilege to share our furniture pieces with the public. We are currently very hopeful and thrilled with our latest venture with Kraftangan Malaysia aimed at developing a New Malaysian Furniture Identity.
Blaine Robert Design is led by strong individuals experienced in the multi-disciplinary field of interior design and furniture design thus making us a competitive player among the other established interior design firms.
Blaine, originally from Canada, embarked on a journey of exploration throughout various parts of Asia before settling in Malaysia in 2005. Recognizing the demand for his signature adventurous and unconventional designs, he established his base in Kuala Lumpur. During his travels across the Asia-Pacific region, Blaine was able to gather eclectic design elements and inspiration from the diverse cultures in which he worked as a designer.
After obtaining his degree from the University of Calgary in 1986, Blaine honed his skills through two years of work experience in Canada. In 1988, driven by his passion for Japanese architecture and minimalist design, he made the decision to relocate to Tokyo, where he worked as a freelance designer for the next 12 years.
Blaine’s contributions to the interior décor industry in Malaysia have earned him a prominent reputation and recognition. He is often invited to serve as a judge at prominent interior design competitions and property award events in the country.
Hafiz, a native of Kuala Lumpur, has built a successful career in the design industry since his graduation from Mara University of Technology, where he received a Diploma in Industrial Design. Subsequently, he further enhanced his knowledge and expertise through his studies at Lim Kok Wing in Industrial & Furniture Design with a focus on Interior Conceptualization.
Hafiz has vast experience in a range of design fields, including lighting, furniture, graphics, and product design. He has also served as a guest lecturer at the International Islamic University under the Kulliyah of Architecture and at University Putra Malaysia under the Faculty of Architecture and Landscape Architecture.
Hafiz is a registered designer with The Malaysia Furniture Promotion Council (MFPC) and Malaysia Timber Industries Board (MTIB). He has been invited to spearhead the Malaysia Furniture Identity Initiatives of both agencies, and his furniture designs have been showcased and sold across the nation. Furthermore, Hafiz is the co-author of “101 Garden Designs for Terrace Houses.
Sam Chua, formerly a General Manager in a leading interior design and architecture firm, now excels as Chief Design Consultant at Blaine Robert Design, where his client-centric philosophy and dedication to excellence set the standard. His approach is deeply rooted in understanding and fulfilling client needs, ensuring that every project exceeds expectations through personalized, innovative design solutions.
